This half term we would like to begin spelling practice in year one. The spellings below have been chosen as a link to the sounds the children have been learning in their Read Write Inc sessions and will complement and consolidate this learning.
For home learning each week we would like the children to practice the words below ready for a spelling test on Friday. After the spelling test we will send the red spelling book home to be checked, marked and celebrated. The books should be returned to school on the Monday.
As an extension, the children could be challenged to write them in a sentence.
